A big weekend for the Devils in some classic hills footy conditions.
Some great results across the club, senior women knock off the 2nd top team and U17G continue to stay undefeated, A Grade jump to 2nd and most premiership points Devils sitting in top end of the table with the second half of the season having turned over.

After a weekend off to recharge, most of our teams are back at Arkaba Oval this weekend in what will be a HUGE three days of footy.
We start with some of our Moddies and our U12 Reds at home on Friday night, then on Saturday our men take on Echunga at the Devil Dome. Catch the action from 8.45am with our U14s, followed by our U16s at 9.55am, our U18s at 11.10am, our B Grade at 12.50 and our A Grade at 2.30pm.
Then we’re back at Arkaba Oval on Sunday for a huge day of female footy. Our U13 Girls start things off at 9am V SMOSH, followed by our U15 Girls at 10.30am (V Hectorville), our undefeated U17 Girls at 12pm (V Nairne) and our Senior Women at 3pm (V Blackwood).

#6 SAM MCTAGGART Returning to his junior club after time with North Adelaide in U16s, U18s and Reserves level, McTaggart has helped the Devils to become one of the HFL’s top sides in 2023. A running machine who has the ability to find plenty of the footy and consistently hit targets, McTaggart has tallied six best player nods and three goals so far this year. Also represented the league in its association game against the River Murray FL.
#11 ASH ECKERMANN Vice-captain for Mount Lofty and the captain of this year’s HFL association side, Eckeramann’s contribution to his club’s season so far has been huge. A triple A Grade premiership player for Hahndorf, Eckermann is a strong utility who can play almost any position who applies strong tackles and has a damaging kick. Has tree best player performances and two goals in eight games so far.
#15 ARCHER BAWDEN Another dominant backman for Mount Lofty, Bawden has been among the club’s best in nearly every game he has played this year. With the ability to read the play as well as anyone and cut off a number of attacks with strong intercept marking skills, Bawden has proved integral to the Devils’ success so far in 2023. Has been named among their best in six of his eight games.
#18 NICK THOMSON One of the best key defenders in the Hills FL, Thomson’s continued improvement for Mount Lofty has seen the club leap into a top three position on the ladder. A strong one-on-one player who has no issue sitting on some of the biggest attacking threats in the competition and competes well in the air and at ground level. Has been named among the Devils’ best in five of his eight games.
#29 JOSH SYKES A proven goalkicker across a number of seasons of senior footy, Sykes has been a force up front for the Devils in season 2023 so far. The former division one player for Athelstone and Salisbury North has booted 22 goals to go along with his three best player nods in six games. Brilliant on the lead and an efficient set-shot taker, Sykes is currently Lofty’s leading goal kicker.
