The Mt Lofty Football Club is excited to announce Oscar Kerr, Dan Peake and Hudson Spencer as our U14 Boys Coaches for the 2025 season.
In doing so, we would like to thank Brad Burch as the outgoing U14 coach for all of his time and dedication over the last three seasons in this role. He has certainly brought his own flare to the team. We are excited to keep Brad’s expertise within the club for other roles in 2025.
2025 will be an exciting year for our young Devils, as three of our passionate and talented young footballers advance to the next level of the coaching careers.
Having been involved in Assistant Coaching, mentoring and even constant figures at Auskick for a number of years, Oscar, Dan and Hudson are very excited to further develop this group of footballers. The trio have developed their philosophy and focus for the upcoming season:
Positive outlook: Have a positive outlook on and off the field, this includes not dropping your heads during games as well as positive attitude towards training.
Teamwork: This starts with treating all of your team mates like family and getting around each other after every good performance/thing
Player development/setting and achieving personal goals: The goal is to have every player achieve at least 1 of their personal goals by the end of the year.
We look forward to seeing the impact of the boys leadership in the 2025 season 💪 Give ’em Hell Devs 🔥
The Mt Lofty Football Club is excited to announce Adrian Braddock as our U17 Girls Coach for the 2025 season.
In doing so, we would like to thank Allani Dawes as the out going U17 Girls coach for all of her time and dedication for the 2024 season in this role. Her love and care for the girls certainly did not go unnoticed. As Allani continues on in her journey, we have no doubt we will continue to see her smiling assassin face around supporting her beloved U17s, including welcoming those coming up into the senior womens program .
2025 will mark the 3rd year at the Devils for Adrian ‘Braddo’ Braddock.
He has a driving passion to develop juniors across a variety of sports, believing kids who are involved in and around sporting communities can grown into becoming leaders and strong contributors in our society.
His goals for this year are to develop the playing group throughout, creating a fun and safe environment to reach their highest potential. To have as many players gain opportunities to play at the Senior Level. To grow to have the highest representation from Mt Lofty within the SANFLW and development programs and to ultimately have been involved in or influenced Mt Lofty’s next selected AFLW player.
Adrian has a strong knowledge of Hills Football having played 200+ games across 3 clubs and have been coaching juniors over the past 10yrs.
We look forward to seeing the impact of Adrian’s leadership in the 2025 season.
The Mt Lofty Football Club is excited to announce Ben Naughton as our U16 Boys Coach for the 2025 season.
A current player, Ben has been at the club since 2005 and has played footy all the way from under 8’s. His dedication to the club and player development shows with taking on a B Grade Captains role, and assisting in the Auskick Coordinators role for 2 years.
He started his coaching journey with Chris McTaggart in 2022 as an assistant coach with the North Adelaide the U15’s, and continued at Mt Lofty 2022 U16’s Assistant Coach to Michael Wilson and went on to Head Coach in 2023-24 U16’s.
He is very excited to be back to coach the under 16’s for 2025 and looks forward to teaching the game of footy while making new connections and relationships. Ben is most excited about bringing a great culture to the playing group, really teaching them about the clubs motto of “One club all in” and having lots enjoyment and fun for season 2025!
We are excited to have Ben back for 2025 and to see the further development of his players.
Congratulations to Maddi Nuss who has been allocated and performed her duties in the U12 Mixed Grand Final tonight as a first year umpire, doing so in the HFL. What an achievement
With a number of our juniors pulling on the greens this year for the first time, we are proud of all of you for putting your hands up for the good of the game and the League along with extending your football knowledge and fitness, plus you still get to do this around your normal game day commitments and make a few bucks.
With the finals season well underway, on behalf of the Committee, I want to say the biggest THANK YOU possible to all those who volunteered their time to help the Mount Lofty District Football Club host the HFL Elimination Finals on Sunday at Heathfield Oval.
Without a doubt, wherever I looked, I came across a cheerful bunch of volunteers, who happily dedicated a couple of hours during their Sunday to roll up their sleeves and ensure the wider HFL community enjoyed a cracking day of Elimination Finals at Heathfield.
The buzz was palpable throughout the day, and I was congratulated several times by members of other clubs and HFL committee members on how well the event was run, and by the warm welcome extended by you all. Our sincere gratitude to every one of you, whether working on the BBQ, or behind the scenes in preparation for the day, in achieving such a successful outcome for the club!
With one premiership in the bag (U17 Girls), we still have four teams competing for a flag (U14 Boys, U16 Boys, U18 Boys and A Grade). With all four teams competing at Echunga this Sunday in do-or-die matches, we are calling out to every member of the Red Army to head out and give them all our support.
I look forward to seeing you there! Go Devs!
