Congratulations to Maddi Nuss who has been allocated and performed her duties in the U12 Mixed Grand Final tonight as a first year umpire, doing so in the HFL. What an achievement
With a number of our juniors pulling on the greens this year for the first time, we are proud of all of you for putting your hands up for the good of the game and the League along with extending your football knowledge and fitness, plus you still get to do this around your normal game day commitments and make a few bucks.
Congratulations to Archer Bawden who ran out on Sunday’s Semi Final for his 50th A Grade match for the Devils V Mt Barker at Echunga.
Boogie Bawden played his junior years at Mt Lofty before finding his way down the hill including two years in U18s at Sturt.
Archer is hard as nails, gets thrown in all positions and can dance around his opposition like Torvill and Dean. Throwing himself on the line every match, he gives 100% behind the scenes too. There really isn’t much he cant do.
We are super proud to have Archer as one of our own.
Congratulations on your 50 mate, give ‘em Hell out there
Congratulations to Tyson Hone who has been awarded the A Grade B&F and claimed the Mail Medal at the Hills Football League Senior Presentation Night.
Taking on the Captains role this year and still in the hunt during finals, Tys also played in country championships and represented SA in the SA v WA state game. Our home grown legend has had a cracking season thats for sure!
Congratulations to Alex Weeks who has been inducted as a Player Life Member to the Hills Football League at the Hills Football League Senior Presentation Night.
The pre-reqisit for this award is 250 A Grade HFL Games which Alex acheived in R12 – Saturday 6 July 2024 v Uraidla @ Uraidla with a win 13.13 – 7.7 – 42pts
Having started his days in U8s at the Devils, a one club player and is an absolute genuinely great bloke, true club man and leader of our club.
We could not be more proud to have Alex as a representative of the Devils.
Congratulations on your induction Alex, lets see you keep on giving ’em Hell mate Â
Our teams are fired up and ready for a big day of semi finals action at Echunga on Sunday. First our U14s take on Blackwood at 8.30am, followed by our U16s facing Onka Valley at 9.40am. Our U18s also face Onka Valley at 11am.
Then our A Grade men will take on Mt Barker at 2.30pm. A convincing 25 point win against Mt Barker in round 14 should give our boys some confidence going into this must-win battle.
Devils army, get yourselves to Echunga on Sunday in full voice to help our boys over the line.
