50 SENIOR CLUB GAMES | JACK READ

50 SENIOR CLUB GAMES | JACK READ

Congratulations to Jack Read who ran out at the Devil Dome on Saturday against Nairne for his 50th Senior match.

A hard working, reliable backman that has been wearing the candy stripes since junior colts, Jack is the teammate every club wants. Always great at reading the play and being in the best spot to be a part of the cracker back 6 we have.

Congratulations Jack, always giving ‘em Hell mate.

100 CLUB SENIOR GAMES | LAYCEE DAWSON

100 CLUB SENIOR GAMES | LAYCEE DAWSON

Congratulations to Laycee Dawson, who headed out to Blackwood on Sunday against for her 100th Senior match. Having played for Mt Lofty Women’s since our inception in 2016, Laycee will be the club’s first female to play 100 club senior matches. Laycee also played in our first junior female season of U18s in 2017 whilst also playing up in seniors. She is constantly giving back to the club, having coached U17 girls, helped at junior trainings and Auskick and helping with functions. We are super lucky to have Laycee as part of the Devils family. Congratulations Laycee, always giving ‘em Hell out there mate 🔥
50 CLUB A GRADE GAMES | MAX BAWDEN

50 CLUB A GRADE GAMES | MAX BAWDEN

Congratulations to Max Bawden, who headed out to Blackwood on Saturday for his 50th A Grade match.

Quiet by nature, but when that footy is in his hand Max goes hard as Hell. Having played juniors at Mt Lofty, Max first played A Grade as an U18 in 2018, before heading to Sturt and playing a year at Pembroke OS. We were very excited to see Max come back home in 2022 and make his mark at Mt Lofty. Always giving back to the club in every way, we couldn’t be luckier to have Max at the Devils.

Congratulations Max, always giving ‘em Hell out there mate

LIFE MEMBER COIN TOSS | JONATHAN JAENSCH

LIFE MEMBER COIN TOSS | JONATHAN JAENSCH

We would like to thank Jonathan Jaensch who did us the honour of tossing the commemorative Life Member coin for the match against Echunga on Saturday 15 June 2024.

Sheepy is the person that every football club needs and thrives on, showing his love for the club again this wet wintery weekend having been here last night for U12’s and womens football, and all day today as our hydration specialist.

Jono joined the Devils in 2011 and played in the C Grade Grand Final under coach Thunder.

In 2012 he played in B Grade and C Grade, unfortunately sustaining an injury which saw him end up in hospital, and have to make unenviable call to his coach that he would not be continuing playing.

He did not let that stop him being a part of the club he loved. He came out and ran water for the boys that went on to win a Premiership.

From there Sheepy has continued to be our clubs water runner every year, helping our mens, womens, junior boys, and junior girls.

Before he moved to Mt Barker in 2023, Jono was living in Seacliff so he was making the drive to Heathfield 5-7 days per week to make trainings and games for his beloved Devils over the 11 year period. There are not many Premiership photos on the wall in this period that do not feature Jonathan, highlighting his passion for his beloved Devils.

In 2017 Jono was awarded the Mt Lofty District Football Club Frank Clements Club Person of the Year Award.

In 2019, he was awarded the Adelaide Football Women’s League Volunteer of the Year Award.

In 2023 Jonathan “Sheepdog” Jaensch was inducted as Mt Lofty District Football Club Life Member.

Thank you sincerely on behalf of everybody at Mt Lofty for all that you do for our club.
