It was another successful weekend of footy for the Devils. Our A Grade men won the inaugural Mt Lofty V Mt Barker Cup and continue sitting top of the table after six rounds. There were also good wins for our Senior Women, B Grade, C Grade, U17 Girls, U16s, U14 Girls, U12 Girls and almost all of our moddies.
Well done to all our teams for their efforts! Check out all the results below or on PlayHQ.
Our A Grade men are sitting top of the table after round 5, following a good win over Hahndorf. Our Devils were also too strong for the opposition across B Grade, C Grade, 18s and 16s, while our Senior Women dominated Birdwood on Saturday night.
Our boys are back on the winner’s list after beating Onkas by 80 points on Saturday. Our Senior Women had a tough one at Balhannah on Sunday, going down to a strong Onkas outfit in windy conditions.
Meanwhile, our Moddies teams kicked off their seasons with some great games played! Check out all the results below.
We’re off to Onkas this weekend, with most of our teams playing at Balhannah on Friday night, Saturday or Sunday.
First, our U12s take on Onkas on Friday night, then our boys – including our new C Grade team – take over Balhannah on Saturday, and then our U17 Girls and undefeated Senior Women are back there on Sunday!
In the SANFL Juniors comp, our U14 Girls take on Golden Grove away on Friday night and our U12 Girls take on Goodwood at home on Sunday.
Another great coaches night during the week, where your Devils Coaches went through all the in’s and out’s of season 2025, and had a great session with our SANFL rep, setting them up up for success.
With the finals season well underway, on behalf of the Committee, I want to say the biggest THANK YOU possible to all those who volunteered their time to help the Mount Lofty District Football Club host the HFL Elimination Finals on Sunday at Heathfield Oval.
Without a doubt, wherever I looked, I came across a cheerful bunch of volunteers, who happily dedicated a couple of hours during their Sunday to roll up their sleeves and ensure the wider HFL community enjoyed a cracking day of Elimination Finals at Heathfield.
The buzz was palpable throughout the day, and I was congratulated several times by members of other clubs and HFL committee members on how well the event was run, and by the warm welcome extended by you all. Our sincere gratitude to every one of you, whether working on the BBQ, or behind the scenes in preparation for the day, in achieving such a successful outcome for the club!
With one premiership in the bag (U17 Girls), we still have four teams competing for a flag (U14 Boys, U16 Boys, U18 Boys and A Grade). With all four teams competing at Echunga this Sunday in do-or-die matches, we are calling out to every member of the Red Army to head out and give them all our support.
I look forward to seeing you there! Go Devs!
