In 2025, after committee discussions on pros and cons of a sub category it became clear after over whelming nominees for a clear stand out this year.
We are very excited to announce: Melissa Nelson as the Junior Club Person of the year.
From being a team manager for our Under 14 Girls team with professionalism and heart, to always stepping in to help wherever needed on any given day, whether it be in the canteen, coordinating volunteers, or lending a hand regardless of whether her own children were playing Missy has been an incredible asset to our club.
Assisting and enjoying the role of banner making for Under 16 Boys and Under 14 Girls, and was a key part of the team’s men’s Thursday night dinners, BBQs, and even preparing coaching gifts. Her willingness to support across multiple age groups shows the depth of her commitment.
But her efforts didn’t stop there. On Grand Final Day, she was a driving force volunteering all day and playing a significant role in making it one of the most successful and memorable events our club has seen.
We thank the incredible Missy, a true club champion whose spirit of generosity and dedication embodies everything we value in our community.
