It was a clean sweep for our boys at home on Saturday with some big wins recorded against Lobethal. With two weeks left of the minor rounds, our teams are looking good for finals. Meanwhile, our Senior Women and U17 Girls both took on Blackwood for round two of HFLW finals yesterday. Our U17 Girls had a good win and are straight through to the big dance. Our Senior Women played a great first half but couldn’t keep up with the undefeated Woods Greens in the second half and went down by 44 points. Thankfully, they have the double chance and will play Onka Valley again on Sunday. Our U12 Girls played in an elimination final yesterday and went down to Payneham, ending our young Devs’ 2024 season. Well done on a great year girls. See you on the weekend Devs fans!

With many fond memories of yonder years to bring us together today, we have a story to share too. A treasured HAU & Mt Lofty member who was very excited to join us today has unfortunately had a health turn. Herman’s wife Glenda has sent a message to share ❤️🤍❤️💚💛
Our beloved Herman had a stroke on the right side of his brain affecting his left side, on 22nd July… He is in Flinders Rehab ward and is working pretty hard on his rehab. Every day I see him he looks brighter and he is no longer leaning to his side. His speech is fine, his passion about his football Clubs, Heathfield Aldgate United, Mt Lofty District FC and Port Adelaide has not waned. The determination for his Rehab is equal to the way he played his Centre Half Back position in the number 13 guernsey. His saying for his footy was ‘you either want to play footy or you don’t’ and ‘bad kicking is bad football’ as well as ‘put everything into it or get off the oval’
Please can contact our daughter Nikki on 0408 133 029 for any updates… and feel free to send him words of encouragement in the comments as he will be reading this too!
Congratulations to Sam Naughton ran on Saturday for his 100th Senior match for the Devils at the Devil Dome against Lobethal.
What a wait this one has been! Sustaining multiple injuries over multiple years, some requiring season ending surgery, Sam has certainly drawn this 100 out..
After having started his footy career at the Devils at Auskick, this Devil has already given a huge contribution back to the club, having helped under Leith Dawes in Auskick and in the last couple of seasons as Assistant Coach of the U16 Boys, not to mention all the years of running water as a junior, and currently being getting around the social events.
Starting for the Devs in 2005, he then went on to play seniors in 2016, debuting in the A Grade at only 17. A highlight of Sam’s 100 being a B Grade Premiership in 2022.
Our club really would not exist without people like this bloke.
We love your work mate! Congratulations Sam, give ‘em Hell mate
