Our teams are fired up and ready for a big day of semi finals action at Echunga on Sunday. First our U14s take on Blackwood at 8.30am, followed by our U16s facing Onka Valley at 9.40am. Our U18s also face Onka Valley at 11am.
Then our A Grade men will take on Mt Barker at 2.30pm. A convincing 25 point win against Mt Barker in round 14 should give our boys some confidence going into this must-win battle.
Devils army, get yourselves to Echunga on Sunday in full voice to help our boys over the line.
The Toyota Good 4 Footy Raffle closes in five days, so if you haven’t bought a ticket yet, do it now! We’ve sold $1270 in tickets so far, which is good, but way off our $10k target.
In our Teams Comp, our 18 Boys are still leading and are looking good to win the $200 voucher to the Aldgate Pump! Our Senior Women are sitting a close second, followed by our U14s, U14 Girls, B Grade, A Grade, U10 Red, U11s, U17 Girls, U16s and U12 Girls.
Our U8 teams, our U9 teams, U10 White and U12s are yet to sell a ticket.
Everyone who buys a $5 ticket goes into the draw to win one of the fantastic prizes up for grabs including cars and money can’t buy footy experiences. Best of all, all money raised through the raffle comes straight back to the club to help deliver our new electronic scoreboard, which will be a game-changer for sport in the community.

Just in time for coach presents and Christmas stocks – yep it time to think about that too!
Lofty Lager is a fresh, bright, classic Australian lager. We’ve worked with Little Bang to tweak the hops a little to accentuate the spectacular crispness, the epic refreshness, and sessionability of this time-honoured style. A little bit of buiscutty malt moreishness rounds out a beer that pays tribute to the smashable coldies we all fell in love with in the first place. Order now!
With the finals season well underway, on behalf of the Committee, I want to say the biggest THANK YOU possible to all those who volunteered their time to help the Mount Lofty District Football Club host the HFL Elimination Finals on Sunday at Heathfield Oval.
Without a doubt, wherever I looked, I came across a cheerful bunch of volunteers, who happily dedicated a couple of hours during their Sunday to roll up their sleeves and ensure the wider HFL community enjoyed a cracking day of Elimination Finals at Heathfield.
The buzz was palpable throughout the day, and I was congratulated several times by members of other clubs and HFL committee members on how well the event was run, and by the warm welcome extended by you all. Our sincere gratitude to every one of you, whether working on the BBQ, or behind the scenes in preparation for the day, in achieving such a successful outcome for the club!
With one premiership in the bag (U17 Girls), we still have four teams competing for a flag (U14 Boys, U16 Boys, U18 Boys and A Grade). With all four teams competing at Echunga this Sunday in do-or-die matches, we are calling out to every member of the Red Army to head out and give them all our support.
I look forward to seeing you there! Go Devs!
Peter Harvey President Mt Lofty District Football Club
