A big congratulations goes out to Nick Thomson who will front up against Mt Barker this week to play in his 50th AGrade match for the Devils.
Having been with the Devs since Junior Colts in 2010, Nick has become one of the most devoted and dedicated Devils of the senior squad. Nick has featured in the best players line up for the Devs on many occasions, and played in the winning Interleague Hills AGrade team in 2019.
Nick is known amongst our boys for being one of the most driven individuals for self-improvement. This shows on the field as he dominates in one-on-one contests and has become one of the most reliable key defenders you see out there, he is only going from strength to strength in 2021.
Very popular amongst his peers and a great club man on and off the field we absolutely love having Nick as part of the Mt Lofty Family (although the new haircut has the club divided)

A huge Devils congratulations to Mark ‘Buckets’ Nielsen who will reach the fantastic milestone of 200 senior games for Mt Lofty Football Club this Saturday out at Mt Barker.
This extremely respected and loyal Devil played all of his junior football with the club and hit the senior ranks in 2006. Buckets then headed down the hill during 2010-12 playing in both the Sturt ressies and League teams before rejoining the Devils in 2013 having played here ever since.
He has come away with 5x Premierships here at the Devs: ’06 BGrade, ’07 AGrade, ’08 AGrade, ‘14d2 AGrade and ‘14d2 Senior Colts Premiership Coach. Having polled in the top five for many years in the B&F counts, Mark took out the top honour in 2016.
Mark has been given the nickname ‘Buckets’ as he is arguably one of the best aerialists and contested markers in the league, however his sporting abilities clearly are a standout playing AGrade Cricket for the Red Caps and having played League Volleyball too.
Recently married to Hayley, it has been an honour to watch Mark develop from a young, junior Devil into a wonderful adult who has become a mentor to much of our community.
Mark is a humble fella and champion bloke, a very talented sportsman, and an extremely valued Devil.
