2023 MLDFC AWARDS | JUNIORS

2023 MLDFC AWARDS | JUNIORS

Congratulations to all of our Junior award winners for season 2023!

Our junior teams are all gifted a highly prestigious Lofty Legends Award donated by the Lofty Legends Group.

LOFTY LEGEND AWARD |
The Lofty Legends Group Team Award is a prestigious recognition aimed at supporting the culture of the club within the “One Club – All In” approach.
Donated by the ‘Lofty Legends Group’ who continue to do an enormous amount of work around the club, including maintaining the premiership boards, organising reunion days, oval preparation during off season, and every week, tidying up the arena, blower vaccing, preparing the fire pit as a very brief example. They make the money for their group and these trophies by things like collecting cans from every home game and taking them to Scouts collection.
It is presented to a player who, like the LLG, is dedicated to the team and the club and is heavily committed to their own improvement and that of the team and the club. They are also persistent and determined and treat everybody with respect, while respecting all aspects of the club.
It is selected by each team’s coaching panel and is donated by the Lofty Legends Group, which maintains the contact of former players, coaches, volunteers and supporters with the club, while supporting the club in various ways including maintenance and any other tasks required.
The “Legends” term refers to the wonderful stories of the clubs in the areas which have gone before us – Aldgate, Crafers, Heathfield, Heathfield Aldgate United and Stirling.

A massive congratulations to Phoebe Neck who has been awarded the League Best & Fairest award for the HFL U17 Girls competition with 28 votes (over 14 rounds), after she and her teammates took out the Premiership this season. A huge achievement!

Whilst Phoebe was unfortunately absent with a school camp for the awards night, her father Simon and sister Lyla joined in the evening with her teammates as her representative, and have accepted her award on her behalf.

BMD BURGER DAY |

BMD BURGER DAY |

The taste buds are tingling already! Cheese burgers and slow cooked pulled burgers are on the menu at the footy this Saturday, thanks to Major Sponsor BMD.

Taking over the BBQ at our home game 17 June Mt Lofty v Echunga, the volunteers from BMD will be preparing and cooking burgers for us to enjoy. What a treat. With a limited menu on the day, be ready to get one of the burgers in your hands, and look out for a sneaky pulled pork sub-in to the Devros Packs on the day too..

Be sure to say thanks for the support to our amazing sponsors when you see them.

WE ARE OFFICIALLY ARKABA OVAL AGAIN IN 2023

WE ARE OFFICIALLY ARKABA OVAL AGAIN IN 2023

We are very excited to announce that The Arkaba Hotel naming rights agreement our home ground has extended into 2023.

This will mark 8 years in alignment with The Arkaba Hotel, so it is fantastic news to have such a great sponsor come back on board again this year! We are looking forward to heading down to see the team at Sportys Bar for some of our post match presentations and holding some fun club functions throughout the year in their spacious function rooms.

Get in and see the team at The Arkaba Hotel this year and make sure you tell them THANK YOU from the Devils!

WELCOME HOME WES WEEKS

WELCOME HOME WES WEEKS

The Devils are thrilled to welcome home Wes Weeks!

Wes is a 6’4” key forward who will add some real presence inside 50 for the Devils in season 2023.

Wes played for Mt lofty from U8s through juniors, before heading to Sturt from under U14s through to U18s, as well as being a member of the Pembroke School 1st 18s.

Following school and Sturt Under 18s footy, Wes played two years of A Grade for Mt Lofty in 2017 & 2018 before heading overseas and then made his way to Brisbane for work.

He has come home to play with Alex & Harry, his mates, and the Devs!

We are looking forward or seeing Wes make a big impact for the Devs in 2023.

Welcome home mate, give ‘em Hell 🔥
