Exactly 12 months after installing our new state of the art electronic scoreboard, we’re proud to switch on the next major upgrade — our brand new LED oval lighting.
The old halogen lights have officially been retired, replaced with a high-performance system delivering approx. 180 lux — lifting the ground to a standard aligned with SANFL-level lighting.
This is a genuine step change. More night games. Better training conditions. Greater flexibility for our growing football program. And a safer, more consistent environment for everyone who takes the field.
This outcome has only been possible through the drive of project manager Chris Illman, Nathan Brooks of EDC Expert Group and President Greg Bond along with the financial support of the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing and Adrian Braddock and Sports Lighting SA.

Round 3 vs Uraidla
Our Player of the Week for Round 3 goes to Sam McTaggart.
Sam was electric on Saturday, turning the Mt Lofty clash into a showcase of pure pace and pressure. He ran hard, moved fast, and hit every contest like it mattered.
Clean handballs, fierce tackles, and that trademark burst of speed saw him slicing through traffic and leaving opponents scrambling. Every time the ball hit the ground, Sam was already gone — creating play, lifting teammates, and shifting momentum.

The Heathfield Balcony is the place to be this weekend. Our U12 Mixed team opens the action Friday night, followed by a blockbuster Saturday as the men face Onkas at home.
On Sunday, our SANFL Juniors return to the field at ovals across the metro area, with our C Grade battling it out right here at Heathfield.
