Liz Jemson-Ledger is a Titled Neurological Physiotherapist and the Clinical Lead Physiotherapist at Advanced Neuro Rehab. After working in brain injury rehabilitation, Liz has since been involved in concussion research and the design and implementation of baseline concussion testing protocols. She also specialises in the management of concussion in the acute stages as well as the persistent window.
The concussion information evening will briefly cover what concussions are and what to look for as well as discuss recent changes to concussion guidelines to ensure our club is up to date with the latest policies and procedures.
Education around concussion isn’t designed to deter individuals away from contact sports such as football, it’s designed to ensure players can make informed decisions and can get the best care to ensure optimal outcomes. Aside from brain health, concussion recovery is also important to minimise risk of secondary injuries and to ensure players return to optimal performance.
The evening will be designed to answer any questions you have, so please feel free to send through questions in advance so we can be sure to cover them within the presentation. Email questions to: headtrainer@mtloftydevils.com.au
