The Mt Lofty Football Club Presentation Evening was a fantastic celebration of our A Grade team and their achievements throughout the season. With the dress code set as Dress to Impress, the boys certainly delivered, looking sharp from every angle as they gathered to celebrate another memorable year.
Leading the award winners was outstanding ruckman Luke Heitmann, who claimed the prestigious Coventry/Dawes Best & Fairest Award, while young gun Will Sherman finished a deserving runner-up. Declan Carmody was recognised as Best Forward after another impressive season, while the ever-reliable Taz Sanderson took home Best Backman honours as a tower of strength in defence. Voted by his peers, Will Sherman was also awarded the Most Valuable Player, with captain Tyson Hone named MVP Runner-Up. The Milestone Award was awarded to Harry Weeks in recognition of playing his 100th A Grade game during the 2026 season. Harry’s football journey began in the Mt Lofty junior ranks before spending time at Sturt and ultimately returning home to the Devils, where he continues to be a valued contributor. Congratulations, Harry, on this outstanding achievement.
The Junior Club Couple Award was presented to Rose and Michael Peake for their unwavering commitment and dedication to the Devils’ Auskick program. Week after week, whether it was rain, hail or shine, Rose and Mick could be found on a Sunday morning helping to create a fun and welcoming environment for our youngest footballers. Their contribution to the junior club is greatly appreciated.
The final award of the evening, the prestigious Frank Clements Clubperson Award, was presented to Robyn Naughton in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the club’s social media presence. Through tireless work capturing and sharing the stories, achievements and spirit of the Devils community, Robyn has helped strengthen connections across the club and showcase all that makes Mt Lofty special.
Congratulations to all award recipients and players on a wonderful season, and to everyone who helped make the evening such an enjoyable celebration of the Mt Lofty Football Club.
