⚪🔴 Round 4 Debutant – Mens & Womens🔴⚪

Congratulations to John ‘JD’ Dwyer for making his A Grade debut in the Candy Strips last Saturday for the Devils. JD was presented with his guernsey by Club Legend and Club Sponsor, Alex Weeks and supported by Father Dan and Brother Charlie.

Welcome to the Devs JD.

Last week against Blackwood the Senior Women’s team welcomed Lily Jenke to the Devs family, and what better way to do that but with our homegrown AFLW player Lily Smart! Lily comes to us from Strathalbyn/South Adelaide u18 program.

Lily has been a great pick up helping to drive standards both on and off field! She is a powerful player who brings her team mates into the game Welcome Lily 🙂

LIFE MEMBER COIN TOSS | TREVOR GOULD

LIFE MEMBER COIN TOSS | TREVOR GOULD

Mt Lofty District Football Club would like to thank Trevor Gould, who is did us the honour of tossing the commemorative Life Member coin this week’s HFL Round 4 match against The Onkaparinga Valley Football Club at Heathfield oval in front of the Arkaba Clubhouse on 2 May 2026. Trevor was joined by his wife Carolanne, daughter Catherine, son Stuart and grandsons Robbie and Harvey.

A self-confessed football tragic who is a strong supporter of “grass roots” footy and the benefits that organised team sports have on the development of young people.  Trevor originally got involved to support the playing aspirations of sons Stuart and Shaun, who have both played numerous games for Mt Lofty in the A, B & C grade teams.  Shaun also coached the first Mt Lofty women’s team and is an under 18’s and B grade premiership coach.

Trevor has made many friends during his involvement at Mt Lofty in what he says has been a very happy time in his life.

He has been involved with the Mt Lofty FC for nearly 30 years in a variety of roles, and there is a long list:

  • Junior Colts coach
  • Senior Colts coach – 2 premierships in 2006 and 2007
  • Senior Football Director
  • A grade Team Manager
  • B grade Team Manager
  • C grade Team Manager (current role)
  • A grade Timekeeper
  • Match day oval line marker
  • Member of Mt Lofty Legends Group
  • Life Member 2014

The Mt Lofty Club community will forever be indebted to Trevor for his incredible dedication, hard work and very personable approach to all. In addition to the roles undertaken and in his typical low-key approach, Trevor has used his professional expertise to also take the lead in several very testing times for the club where diplomacy and credibility were essential.

On behalf of everybody at the Devils, we thank you sincerely for all you have done for the Mt Lofty District Football Club.

❤️🤍The definition of a Mt Lofty Football Club Mum !! 🤍❤️

“She is a highly skilled, multi‑tasking lifeform capable of locating lost boots, washing jumpers that smell like a swamp, providing boundary‑line commentary, and cheering loudly enough to be heard over a jet engine — all while pretending not to be stressed when their kid gets crunched in a tackle.”

One of our own special Mums, club volunteer and club sponsor, Mary Read Owner of Poppies Flower Studio , has offered everyone this amazing offer, especially as Mother’s Day is SUNDAY 10/5!

Let There Be Light

Let There Be Light

Exactly 12 months after installing our new state of the art electronic scoreboard, we’re proud to switch on the next major upgrade — our brand new LED oval lighting.

The old halogen lights have officially been retired, replaced with a high-performance system delivering approx. 180 lux — lifting the ground to a standard aligned with SANFL-level lighting.

This is a genuine step change. More night games. Better training conditions. Greater flexibility for our growing football program. And a safer, more consistent environment for everyone who takes the field.

This outcome has only been possible through the drive of project manager Chris Illman, Nathan Brooks of EDC Expert Group and President Greg Bond along with the financial support of the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing and Adrian Braddock and Sports Lighting SA.
