Congratulations to Angas “Chop” Wauchope who will play his 50th senior game for the Devils this weekend at Mt Barker Summit Oval.
Chop, who is a keen fisherman and 2x premiership player for the Devils, is known for his unwavering courage, unorthodox ball drop and his infamous helmet, all of which have led to him becoming a fan favourite at Arkaba Oval.
A strong one-on-one defender and great leader, this one club player has been with the Devils since under 10s, even captaining multiple junior sides. Chop has also consistently given back to the club, which was shown in 2021 where he coached the under 14s side.
Congrats on your 50th Angas! Give ‘em Hell mate ????
Our U17 Girls and U13 Girls start their finals campaigns this weekend, with our U17s taking on Hahndorf at Balhannah at 12pm in a qualifying final, and our U13s taking on Blackwood in Blackwood at 10am in an elimination final.
After going down to Blackwood on Sunday, our Senior Women have a point to prove when they take on Uraidla at 1.30pm at Nairne in a semi final. Get yourself to Nairne on Sunday and help get our Devs over the line.
Meanwhile, it’s round 16 in the HLF with our boys taking on Mt Barker at Summit Oval on Saturday, in some must win games with finals only a few weeks away.
