The Devils are heading to Nairne this weekend for round 14, which is the last minor round for our HFL women’s teams.
The action starts on Friday night with our U12 Whites at Ironbank and our U12 Reds at Nairne. Then on Saturday our U14s kick off the action at Qube Logistics Oval at 8.45am, followed by our U16s, U18s, B Grade and A Grade. Get to Nairne, Devs, and help our boys over the line. Then head to Game Day Sponsor the District Hotel in Nairne for a drink.
On Sunday, our U17 Girls and Senior Women take on Nairne at Qube Logistics Oval from 12pm, while our U11 Girls, U13 Girls and U15 Girls are all playing away.
The Toyota Good For Footy Raffle is a great way for clubs to raise money. For us, we’re fundraising for a much-needed new digital scoreboard. If that’s not enough motivation to buy a ticket, then let’s have a look at the prizes you could win!
First prize is a new Toyota Kluger valued at $59k, second prize is a new Toyota Corolla Cross valued at $40k and third prize is a new Toyota Yaris Cross valued at $36k.
Fourth and fifth prizes are AFL Star Coaching Clinics valued at $21k each! And there are lots of other prizes including 2023 Sherrins and Team Guernseys signed by an AFL Captains.
Whilst we know people were telling us they were excited about this event, unfortunately due to low early ticket sales, we have had to cancel the Christmas in July function.
A reminder to get your tickets in early people!! A great night out, a loss to the club, the band and the caterers not to mention those that were going to help out on the night.
Any tickets purchased, have been reimbursed through square on Wednesday morning and should show up in accounts in due course.
Recently the Mount Lofty Devils U12 White team lost our Assistant Coach Alistair Walsh after a long battle with melanoma.
Having been a part of the team since U8s, Al spent countless hours sharing his knowledge of the game and helping our players grow as a team both on and off the field, always with a smile on his face.
Al was much more than a coach to many of us – our team, club, friends and family have lost a truly great individual. While he may not be here in person to help celebrate our highs and work through our lows, he will have an ever-lasting impact on our team.
With Love and Respect
Lofty Devils U12 White
MLDFC extends our love and support to Al’s family, his team and everyone that knew and loved Al.
