To all our members and supporters.

This week is ‘National Volunteer’s Week’ and the Mt Lofty Football Club would like to show our appreciation to all those within the club and community who volunteer their time to make this football club what it is.

Running an organisation of this size can at times be all consuming. Volunteers make up the majority of hours put in to run the club and all of this time is what allows the players to have a kick with their mates and enjoy the game and mateship on and off the field.

Volunteers are everywhere within our club and community. They sit on the committee’s, they do our bookwork, they coach, run water, become trainers, line markers, umpires, operate the scoreboard, operate the canteen, cook, clean, maintain and improve our environs, attend meetings, assist behind the bar and within the kitchen and many more roles within the club.

What do they get out of it? In my case I get the fulfilment of giving back to a community, and speaking with so many volunteers they also do it for the same reasons.

So to all of our volunteers I say a massive THANKYOU. Your effort and time is appreciated by all within this community.

To those thinking of getting involved, jump in and put your hand up. The friendships you make could be lifelong and the satisfaction of giving something back is fulfilling.

All the best for the season, and thank-you for your time.
