A big congratulations to Alex “Whitters” Whitwell who played his 50th senior game this week at Arkaba oval against Lobethal.
Whitters began his football career at Mt lofty in the under 8s, and has been with the Devils ever since, all while developing his skills further during short stints and Glenunga and Sturt.
With his damaging left foot kick and cheeky demeanour growing up, he was a key part of 4 junior Premierships for the Devils. Whitters is a utility player that has played all around the ground throughout the years, however you can now find him down back in the A Grade putting his excellent skills on display.
His commitment to the club has shone through this year as he makes the commute from Goolwa 3 times a week to ensure he never misses a training.
A lifetime Devil who the club couldn’t be prouder of.Congratulations on your 50 games Whitters! Give ‘em Hell mate
