Nikki has a deep heritage with Mt Lofty. Her dad Herman de Roos used to play here in the number 13 guernsey and was a President in his retired footy years. In fact he honoured us with his presence for the life member coin toss on 13 Aug 2022 against Onkas. He is a life member of HAU and MLDFC. Her mum Glenda was also heavily involved for many years, and her two brothers Simon and Cory, also played here.
Being a trainer in her 20s in the Downsey era, Nikki was also involved in junior and HFL teams before returning to netball. Nikki ran on the wing for the Devs in the “Champagne Cup”, a female football match in the hills (Mt Lofty vs Blackwood) before female football leagues began.
Fast forward, Nikki now has 3 years Head Trainer experience with the Sturt FC SANFLW side, before moving to West Adelaide SANFLW in a health and wellbeing role. Her realisation of love and dedication in being a trainer has brought Nikki back home to Mt Lofty….and boy does she really feel like she is home already!
Nikki is really hoping to honour her family by continuing on their legacy at Lofty
Welcome back to the Devils Nikki, give ‘em Hell mate 🔥

Our beautiful Sarah, Head Trainer of 2023, will be stepping down to focus on life and family in 2024.
Sarah took over in 2023 from long-time Head Trainer Jo, and in Sarah’s own words, only for an interim role, but she sure took on the challenge no holds barred.
Sarah has been involved with the Devils in volunteer roles including as trainer, since her son was a junior up through to senior grades, plus being involved female program since in her daughter started playing. Sarah’s lovely demeanour makes her an absolute delight to have around our club, which will be sorely missed.
We hope to be lucky enough to still see her on an ad hoc basis during the year, but we are sure we will see still Sarah out and about watching her beloved Devils.
Along with Sarah, her supportive husband Jon will be stepping down from his head coaching role this year as his daughter moves through the grades, having also donated many years volunteering on the sidelines. But as this wonderful family does, we are sure we will also see Jon’s face around in 2024.
We thank this amazing duo for everything they have given to the Devils, and wish them all the best.
Keep on giving ‘em Hell fam 🔥
