100 SENIOR GAMES | ADAM CARTHEW

100 SENIOR GAMES | ADAM CARTHEW

A big congratulations goes out to Adam Carthew who will front up against Nairne this week to play in his 100th senior match for the Devils.

Yet another lifetime Devil, this strong back liner come midfielder is one of the strongest yet fairest players on the deck. With strong hands and a great knowledge of the game, Carts does a fantastic job of controlling his space on the oval.

A multitalented sportsman, Carts won the Mt Lofty Cricket Club A1 players MVP award in the most recent cricket season, which saw them bring home a Premiership, before heading straight out on the track at the Devil Dome for a great start to his season.

A much loved part of the senior squad, we are very proud to have Carts as a part of the Mt Lofty Family.

WELL DONE ON REACHING 100 CARTS!

50 SENIOR GAMES | OSTYN DAWES

50 SENIOR GAMES | OSTYN DAWES

A big congratulations goes out to Ostyn Dawes who will front up against Nairne this week to play in his 50th senior match for the Devils.

Another lifetime Devil, Ozzy has become one of the most loveable Mt Lofty members of the senior squad. A hard working team mate on and off the field, this little Devil loves to give 110% at every occasion, be it helping around the club or on the DF.

Known for his high flying antics on field and hard at the ball attitude and topped off with his rubbish banta, Ozzy certainly likes to keep us all entertained.

WELL DONE ON REACHING 50 OZZY! (Only 312 more games to catch your dad mate..)

Nominate your Little Legend!

Nominate your Little Legend!

The Sunday Mail is asking South Australians to nominate a junior sportsperson whose actions on field and off make you feel proud.

A weekly online gallery of finalists is published at advertiser.com.au with a $100 prize also awarded each week, sponsored by Fairmont Homes, in recognition of the importance of grassroots sport.

The ongoing campaign aims to celebrate kids’ involvement in sport in all shapes and forms, showcasing skills, courage, passion and good sportsmanship.

“We wanted to do something fun to celebrate junior sport – sometimes it is the big moments, such as an amazing game-winning goal, that are worth cheering but often it is the small things that warm our family’s hearts most … the firsts, the friendships or a show of resilience,” Sunday Mail editor Jessica Leo-Kelton said.

To nominate, just go to bit.ly/littlelegends2021 and follow the instructions.
